I used mkcue as part of a workflow for some CDs which become FLAC files with embedded cue sheets. Later, I tried the checkflac script from flactag (it is discussed in the flactag man page), it read the disc ID from the CD in the drive and also calculated a disc ID from the cue sheet, it found a mismatch.
