Package: gnome-subtitles
Version: 1.2-4
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I'm using a Jessie with LXDE but installed gnome-subtitles for subtitle-edition.
When I open a subtitle file, gnome-subtitle fails to open the associated video
and a popup appears with an error message like:
- A Quicktime demuxer plugin is required to play this stream, but not
installed.
or
- A Matroska demuxer plugin is required to play this stream, but not installed.
Depending on the type of the video file. I wonder if it's linked to the fact
that gnome-subtitles recommends package gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg which does not
seem to exist. In any case it looks like some package dependencies are missing.
Note: the same video files can be played correctly when using:
- VLC on this computer (Jessie, LXDE)
- gnome-subtitles on my old laptop (Wheezy, Gnome)
Cheers
Pierre
