Dear Maintainer, I'm the maintainer of the tomahawk PPA for ubuntu (https://launchpad.net/~tomahawk). To create the tomahawk packages, I have to package libechonest2.3 on my own.
Could you please update libechonest to 2.3.1 and also create packages, build against Qt5? Maybe my debian files could help you... They do not include a transitional package but fix #794811 <https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=794811>.
