Well, it's been running for three full days now without any problem, so I guess we can say good catch James and thank you both :-) Just in case somebody needs it and while you don't integrate this into a new package I have moved the old binaries to the old--disable-atomic directory and uploaded my jessie compiled binaries of current debian-security version patched with your patch at: https://people.debian.org/~manty/bind9_mips/new-earlyclobber/ Again thanks for caring, hope to see this in next stable update or security build as well as unstable.
