Hi, Just to complement my previous message:
- all of the local users were in the 'video' group for long,- using lightdm works with no problem; I can even use the xfswitch-plugin applet overriding gdmflexiserver as indicated in the Ubuntu documentation (https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Xfce_Panel_Plugins for example).
