Hmm, I'm not sure how happy the ftp masters will be to have two exact copies of a source tarball just to simplify debian/rules, but I guess that's between you and them (or you and your sponsor). But yes, please take over maintenance of liblastfm. It'd be good to have it in the hands of someone who feels more invested in the package. John
