Hi, I tried the current version of bumprace on a freshly installed AMD64 (etch) box and it works just fine. My box has an ATI graphics card, so I am using the radeon driver and Xorg, and not a binary only nvidia driver. You might have to rebuild it from source, if you can not upgrade to testing. If the current bumprace does not work for you, can you please try to use the vesa driver instead of the nvidia driver? I wouldn't wonder if the bug is in the binary only driver.
