I've just uploaded pcre2 to unstable, and as part of that, pcre2-utils, which includes pcre2test. Given that, I'm inclined to close this bug - while I'll move to an alternatives-style approach for pcregrep vs pcre2grep, I don't think we really need multiple pcretests, and people probably want the newer one.
