 That's the point.  I think the reason for not adding a newline in the
first place is that it's meant for you to add a message for the
reminder.  And when you do that your editor usually saves a newline.

 I can see that it might seem annoying and easy to reproduce - but I'm
not totally convinced that this should be considered a real bug.  It's
not the way one would use it, *not* writing a message for a reminder in
the first place.  The way to get to the point is pretty constructed in
my experience.

 Do you really insist on adding a newline which would mean that when one
gets faced with the editor one would have to backspace or move the
cursor to the point where they are actually expect to add the reminder
message instead of being right there in the first place?
