Subject: sp-gxmlcpp: Library needs rename for c2(a) transition! Package: sp-gxmlcpp Severity: serious
*** Please type your report below this line *** I guess this didn't get reported properly. The old libsp-gxmlcpp was linked against libstdc++5. The new one is linked against libstdc++6. Since it's a library, this *requires* a package rename. The unfortunate part is that Luk Claes's otherwise excellent NMU has caused this package to transition *without* a package rename. This is bad. At least nothing in Debian builds against it, so it hasn't broken anything else yet; but it can and will break packages outside Debian. It would be best to use the same package name used by Ubuntu, which is libsp-gxmlcpp1c2a The Ubuntu patch is linked from http://packages.qa.debian.org/s/sp-gxmlcpp.html -- Nathanael Nerode <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "It's just a goddamned piece of paper." -- President Bush, referring to the US Constitution http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_7779.shtml -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
