Package: gnome-shell-extension-weather Version: 0~20151023.git34aa242-1 Severity: important
(I was not sure whether to report this against this package or against gnome-shell) When I bring up a network interface the whole UI often freezes for a few seconds. During that time I cannot switch windows or type anything. I made several tests and it looks like this is due to the GNOME weather applet trying to update its status. If the network connection is slow it can take a considerable amount of time (easily 10 seconds or more). My guess is that the applet is synchronous and its network requests freeze the UI.
