Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=775643#17 one of the uploader said "the best would be just to remove this one from both jessie and sid archives"; it's not currently in stable, fwiw.
The "obsolete lib" is pysupport, which we're trying to kick out.
