I'm not really interested in this software, and furthermore I know
nothing about gstreamer, so for me it would mean losing a whole lot of
time to only start understanding what gstreamer does.
I can happily take a patch and apply it, if somebody provides me that.
Moritz: given that this removal now causes interest, is the current
state of the transition too advanced or can we put this removal on
hold
(= tag -1 + moreinfo) for some other weeks?
We can certainly wait a few more weeks (if there's an actual chance

this fixes it).

I had a discussion with Jonas Wagner (who is upstream and is copied to
this email) and we are lucky that he was kind enough to work on getting
playitslowly to work with GTK 3 and gstreamer 1.0 . Thanks for that
