and keep the old ones even if they are not required by the new package? Does this not nullify the reason why one is using a clean chroot for building in the first place: to make sure that only the bare minimum of packages are installed? I wonder whether first uninstalling everything and then reinstalling everything is faster than just starting sbuild anew. Uninstalling only the packages that are not needed by the new build could be tricky in terms of keeping track of what is not needed anymore. Would the sbuild sudo mode not work for your use-case?
