Package: gnome-shell-extension-redshift
Version: 3.18.1-1
Severity: important

I was just looking at the process listings and noticed that there are 4
redshift processes. For all of them, the parent is the gnome-shell,
which is understandable because I'm using the Redshift Shell Extension.
Thus this bug report.

What I don't understand is why there are 4 unique processes. This to me
looks like the shell extension has crashed in the past, restarted
itself, but never did a proper cleanup.

Yes. I think that must be the problem. Perhaps you should be able to
reproduce this bug by restarting the gnome shell. Just keep an eye on
the number of processes.
