amarok still has an RC bug, but is otherwise doing much better. I'd be
surprised that Adeodato doesn't intervene soon. But amarok isn't a video
player.
After starting this investigation I realized the gravity of the video
players situation in Etch. But there is one player that appears to be
quite usable and reasonable buggy without requiring too much of GNOME:
gxine.
