Package: graphicsmagick-imagemagick-compat
Version: 1.3.23-1
Followup-For: Bug #413954

The ‘cups-filters’ package, as of its version “1.4.0-1”, declares a
versioned Depends on “imagemagick (>= 6.4~)”.

The ‘graphicsmagick-imagemagick-compat’ package declares it “Provides:
imagemagick”, but I assume it can't satisfy “imagemagick (>= 6.4~)”
interface.

Policy §7.5 forbids declaring “Provides: imagemagick (<=N.M)”, so I
don't see how this can be resolved satisfactorily.

It seems clear the Imagemagick command-line API is going to keep
changing and other packages require new behaviour specific to later
versions of Imagemagick. So the API provided by the
‘graphicsmagick-imagemagick-compat’ commands will no longer justify a
claim of “Provides: imagemagick”.
