Source: nvidia-cuda-toolkit Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? I'm trying to enable GPU rendering for blender, I had it working few weeks ago on a very similar, almost equal, system environment (Debian/unstable), but it was on x86 arch and I had to switch to amd64, now can't get it working anymore. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? Being able to install nvidia-cuda-toolkit, it should enable GPU option in blender (User settings -> system -> Compute device) -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.3.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Below the current installation error log, this morning I just upgraded because have seen there was some *nvidia* upgrade, before the upgrade I had a different error, but always related to unmet dependencies for nvidia-cuda-dev % sudo apt-get install nvidia-cuda-toolkit Reading package lists...
