Since having a local dns resolver for a desktop install is very useful and gives a much better user experience, it'd be nice to have a package install /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/local-resolver-dnsmasq.conf with [main] dns=dnsmasq A package doing just that could be named like network-manager-local-resolver-dnsmasq and "gnome" meta package could recommend it. It would also make room for other possibilities (unbound, etc...) which would be configured by the mean of installing a package. Jérémy.
