Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Hi, please remove xchat. It's unmaintained upstream for 5+ years. The last uploads to the Debian archive were NMUs, the last one over a year ago by myself.
hexchat, an active fork, is available and has been released with jessie. Some discussion on debian-qa can be found in this thread: https://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2015/09/msg00017.html There was no hard oposition to remove the package so I'd say now is the point to remove it, so we get rid of it before the next stable release.
