The output I pasted in the last mail is from a sid chroot with the
latest versions of all programms involved. (I reported it initially
from my stable machine which I daily use but when I saw the changelog
I switched to the chroot).

Ok, just to make sure I updated again my chroot. Now I have:
remaxp:/tmp/goobox-3.4.1-2# dpkg -l "*sp*" | grep ii

I again get the output:

remaxp:/tmp/goobox-3.4.1-2# which onsgmls
/usr/bin/onsgmls
remaxp:/tmp/goobox-3.4.1-2# dpkg -S /usr/bin/onsgmls
opensp: /usr/bin/onsgmls

So it looks like it is using opensp.

Greetings
