Hi maintainer, I think I'm experiencing this same issue or a very similar one. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 5500 with a RTL NIC: # lspci ... 07:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E/RTL8102E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 07) ... Some times, or shall I say often, my Ethernet connection is lost. When this happens I can not recover it unless I reboot my laptop. I've also tried to hibernate the system and recover it but this did not solve the issue even if I ran Windows between hibernate and wakeup. In this case windows will connect to network but the recovered Linux session will still be breaking. This make me think it is not HW issue.
