There's already an upstream bug ticket for this issue. Unfortunately, pan maintenance has stalled, so a fix won't be released any time soon, unless some new people takes over this project. In the meantime, you should be able to recover pan with this work-around: * ssh into your own machine with -X option * run pan from there. Please tell me if this works.
