The M_GENERL menu graphics lump isn't included in prboom-plus.wad anymore (for quite some time) because it was constructed of the letters of the original DOOM menu font. However, prboom-plus detects that one or more mof the enu graphics lumps are missing and thus renders the entire menu in the HUD font. Is it possible that you still have a very old copy of prboom(-plus) somewhere in your $PATH? Could you please provide the output of "which prboom" and "which prboom-plus" as well as "readlink -f `which prboom`" and "readlink -f `which prboom-plus`". And please do also send the complete output to stdout and stderr, the last few lines aren't that comprehensive without any further context. Thank you very much, Fabian
