Package: cron Version: 3.0pl1-128 Severity: wishlist It would be useful to display the tasks displayed in a terminal with `crontab -l` with color.
In my opinion, providing a color for comment is enough. (More would be better but less important.) My use case is when there are several tasks and one of them is commented (# is the first character of the line). Sometime, you can waste time before noticing it: # m h dom mon dow command 53 0 * * * cd /tmp/tmp.a3LS17Jgba; touch demo.txt #3 10 * * * ls /home/stephane 44 20 * * * date > tmp/tmp.a3LS17Jgba/demo.txt Of course, the syntax highlighting works with `crontab -e` but `-l` prevents the user to make a mistake by modifying the crontabs inadvertently. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.3.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages cron depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii debianutils 4.7 ii dpkg 1.18.4 ii init-system-helpers 1.24 ii libc6 2.21-7 ii libpam-runtime 1.1.8-3.2 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.2 ii libselinux1 2.4-3 ii lsb-base 9.20160110 Versions of packages cron recommends: ii exim4 4.86-7 ii exim4-daemon-light [mail-transport-agent] 4.86-7+b2 Versions of packages cron suggests: ii anacron 2.3-23 pn checksecurity <none> ii logrotate 3.8.7-2 Versions of packages cron is related to: pn libnss-ldap <none> pn libnss-ldapd <none> pn libpam-ldap <none> pn libpam-mount <none> pn nis <none> pn nscd <none> -- no debconf information -- Stéphane
