Hi,
I have an MGE ellipse 1200 and I've connected it serialy.
It seems that the data is about always stale.
My /etc/nut/ups.conf:
[myups]
driver = mge-shut
port = /dev/ttyS0
upsc shows those:
driver.name: mge-shut
driver.parameter.port: /dev/ttyS0
driver.version: 2.0.1
driver.version.internal: 0.60
[...]
ups.mfr: MGE UPS SYSTEMS
ups.model: ellipse 1200

It's doing this about every 5 minutes. It's more stale
than not. I don't think setting maxage higher is going to
solve anything since the data is stale for 5 minutes. And
about 15 seconds later it's stale again.
can you give 2.0.2 a try. As I mentionned in this mail [1], I've made some test without any problem... Note that the packages from the MGE repository [2] should do the trick. Note that I've used the standard parameters, not modifying pollinterval, MAXAGE, DEADTIME...
Best regards,
Arnaud
