Yes, you will build nghttp2 that way, but this is not supported
officially.

Not really, libspdylay7 is an optional dependency, nghttp2 will build
without it, but won't have the SPDY support.

I'm glad you've managed to build everything. Now about the bug:

   * can I close it?
   * or may be you want to retitle it to a wishlist bug "backport nghttp2 1.7.0 
to jessie"?
     (I would backport dependencies too, I suppose)
