Package: initramfs-tools Version: 0.48 The new option in Debian Installer to automatically partition using LVM creates a system where / and most other partitions are on LVM, but /boot is a separate "real" partition.
The initrd created using initramfs-tools fails to boot with this setup and seems not to be aware at all the LVM is needed.
