Package: lintian Version: 1.23.14 Severity: normal The description for lintian's menu-icon-not-in-xpm-format check needs to be updated since it refers to section 3.4 of the menu policy, which does not currently exist.
The alternative is to remove the check entirely, which seems appropriate, since there is no mention of the xpm requirement in menufile(5) or in the menu policy and using png images in menu files works fine (at least in gnome). I also see that 8 packages on my system don't use xpm images in their menu items. CCing the menu maintainer for an opinion. -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
