Source packages are semi-automatically removed once they are no longer
responsible for building any binary package present in the archive. Bugs are
only normally necessary if for some reason the new package doesn't entirely
replace the old (e.g. the old package built the binaries for an architecture
that the new package doesn't).

Not an ftp-master, but yeah. ;-)

Bug severities have no effect on the order in which ftp.d.o bugs are dealt
with, so filing them as anything other than normal or wishlist is largely
pointless.
