They did provide the jamvm patch was correctly applied. Version 8u72-b05-6 built successfully on mips* Version 8u72-b15-1 failed on mipsel due to the jamvm patch being lost Version 8u72-b15-2 failed on mips and mips64el due to the wrong gcc version being used in debian/rules > >Removing the version force in debian/rules fixes the issue. > > does it even build with this? does it run the testsuite when I enable it? My local build is still running so I can't give you a 100% positive answer but given the debdiff between 8u72-b15-1 and 8u72-b15-2 is quite small and that 8u72-b15-1 built successfully on mips64el, I am quite confident the build will be successful. > mips* clearly is the openjdk platform which breaks the most often for > release architectures. That didn't change for the past years. You know > that as well. It does break often yes, but not all build failures should be attributed to upstream issues. In fact the last two were actually packaging issues. Aurelien -- Aurelien Jarno GPG: 4096R/1DDD8C9B [email protected] http://www.aurel32.net
