which version of Linux Mint is this? more importantly: which version of v4l2loopback are you running on Mint? for whatever reasons Mint doesn't list which v4l2loopback version it ships [1]. which version of GStreamer are you running on Mint? which version of GStreamer are you running on Debian? afaik, Mint only takes the Debian packages, so i doubt that there is an issue with packaging.
