I tried to compile proftpd from Jessie (1.3.5) and Sid (1.3.5a) in a stock wheezy, and the backport process was very easy: - apt-get source proftpd - apt-get build-dep proftpd - cd proftpd* && dpkg-buildpackage - cd .. && debrsign + dput This package is working on my server now. The main reasons for this backport are: - Proftpd 1.3.4 ignores DHParam file (even though it's set in the parameters) - Proftpd 1.3.4 can't do TLS 1.1 or 1.2 - Proftpd 1.3.4 can't force Server-side Ciphers in TLS. So, could you please create an official backport of proftpd for Wheezy so that we have good crypto? Thanks!
