It requires a change to the configuration file format and a fair bit of work to handle upgrades (if I just applied your patch as-is without work on the upgrade path, it would break existing rssh configurations), and I think the existing places Debian previously took that work were possibly a mistake in retrospect. This is the sort of thing that really needs to be handled upstream. If someone were willing to take over as rssh upstream and produce new tested releases, I'd consider switching to that for Debian packaging, but I think this is a bit too much to maintain as a distro-specific patch. -- Russ Allbery ([email protected]) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/>
