I did, no response to that yet.

Good news however, it seems that there is already action ongoing
upstream to migrate from webkit to webkit2. Someone claims¹ that with
the webkit2 branch of upstream, the issue is fixed.

A maintainer note from me though, upstream is already working for more
than a year on a new branch (1.11 i.s.o 1.10) with already multiple
releases, but upstream doesn't consider it stable yet (intention around
October 2015 was LAST Christmas). So no idea how long this is going to take.
