less than 1,5 years is not "abandoned", expecially when a package is
team maintained and everybody can easily work on it.
Actually, I had already started fixing it a couple of weeks ago (then I
had to stop due to more compelling things).

Please hold on this, I'm actually trying to fix it.

And btw, for packages that have a maintainer (like this case) just
jumping and asking for removal is exagerated: you could have either
opened a 3rd RC bug stating that you wanted to remove package if not
fixed, as it is usually done (just search for bugs titled "should XXX be
removed from Debian?").
