reassign 817923 binfmt-support thanks After commenting out the call to update-binfmts in my system (that is, modifying /var/lib/dpkg/info/python3.5-minimal.postinst to skip the call, even though I am fully aware it is not a recommended way to solve issues), I saw this same issue happening with python2.7 — here, too, I had to issue a kill -9 for the process to continue:
Setting up python2.7-minimal (2.7.11-4) ...
dpkg: error processing package python2.7-minimal (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script was killed by signal
(Terminated)
Right now, it's stuck at «update-binfmts --package openjdk-7 --import jar»;
I am sending it a kill -9 as well.
So, that's the reason I am reassigning this bug. Of course, I am
leaving my system in a not fully set up fashion, but I have to get
some things working! :-|
