Well, maybe it is a combination of several stuff. Lets take the last first. Not accepting new search plugins from the mozilla plugins page anymore. That problem could exist for several versions. I do not need to install new search plugins. I do not have further informations as that, firefox is giving me. It tells me (in german) that the plugin is broken. I get that message independent of the search plugin I want to install. Normal plugins seem to work. The next is that something was reset with the switch from iceweasel to firefox. In the past I had to delete the original duckduckgo search and install the so called light version as the normal one was going to a page that needs javascript. This is especially strange as coming from the duckduckgo main page does not need javascript. However, It seems that the searches was reset to some default with the update and deleting all my custom searches. Combined with the fact that it refuses to install new ones that is a complete mess and unusable after the update.
