Hi Peter,

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this in a clean sid amd64 chroot with
neither:

apt-get install nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver

nor

apt-get install nvidia-legacy-340xx-driver
libgl1-nvidia-legacy-340xx-glx:i386

After the apt-get remove, are you sure there was no leftover? Have you
checked with dpkg -l? What version of the driver did you have installed
before?

Also, when posting the output of commands, could you please prefix them
with: LC_ALL=C this way the output is in English and it's easier for
non-German speaker to understand :-)
