Yeah, I noticed that too. But a crasher seemed worth putting on the record even for something that's dead upstream. I also filed RFP bug #819735 for h5. It looks like the only rdepends for r-cran-hdf5 is the science-statistics metapackage; probably they would be willing to switch over to h5? zw
