Source: screen Version: 4.3.1-2 If libutempter-dev is installed on the build system, configure uses it by default to build screen with utempter support. At least the sh4 package of screen, apparently uploaded by a porter, depends on libutempter0.
Unfortunately there is no "--disable-utempter" switch for configure, and while enabling utempter support certainly makes sense, it probably won't suffice to avoid installing screen setgid utmp, since screen needs write access to the /run/screen directory. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.2.8-ckt6-nouveau (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
