As you have not confirmed that this patch is legally yours to submit 
(this is all that Signed-off-by: is - it *isn't* a promise that it 
works), upstream are unable to accept it.  (Given how much time has 
passed, it is also rather likely that it no longer works.)

This problem has also been reported upstream as 
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88959 , where a different 
fix was suggested, but that patch hasn't been Signed-off-by: either.
