Followup-For: Bug #347557 Package: libxklavier10 Version: 2.0-0.3 I have almost the same problem here, but I'm trying to use 'ca_enhanced' and 'us' layouts.
I also have the error messages coming from gnome-settings-daemon, and this is what I have when I try to call setxkbmap directly : # setxkbmap -layout ca_enhanced Error loading new keyboard description Using an old trick (see bug #245371) makes the error go away, but the keyboard becomes totally unusable (full of Greek letters). The command # setxkbmap -layout us works perfectly. This was working very well before the last Xorg/Gnome update. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=fr_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libxklavier10 depends on: hi libc6 2.3.5-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libx11-6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-3 X Window System protocol client li ii libxkbfile1 6.9.0.dfsg.1-3 X Keyboard Extension file parsing ii libxml2 2.6.23-1.1 GNOME XML library ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-9 compression library - runtime libxklavier10 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
