Package: pseudo
Version: 1.7.5-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer,
thank for your work on pseudo.
This bug is presumably related to #805937, but I'm reporting it alone as
it prevents a smooth installation of the package.
During upgrade:
Setting up pseudo (1.7.5-4) ...
update-alternatives: error: alternative path /usr/bin/fakeroot-pseudo
doesn't exist
dpkg: error processing package pseudo (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
status 2
This is because of the update-alternatives invocation in postinst:
configure)
# continue below
update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/fakeroot fakeroot \
/usr/bin/fakeroot-pseudo 5 \
--slave /usr/share/man/man1/fakeroot.1.gz \
fakeroot.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/fakeroot-pseudo.1.gz
;;
The pseudo package does not contain the fakeroot-pseudo wrapper (as a
fix for #805937 ?):
$ fgrep bin /var/lib/dpkg/info/pseudo.list
/usr/bin
/usr/bin/pseudolog
/usr/bin/pseudodb
/usr/bin/pseudo
Thanks,
Gian Piero.
