Package: sox Version: 14.4.1-5 Followup-For: Bug #823417 Dear Maintainer,
update: it looks like the file is not actually truncated, but only the file header is wrong/corrupted. Some player stops at the (wrong) reported lenght, while other goes beyond it to the actual end of the file. E.g., while "soxi" reports a lenght which is much shorter than the real one, "mediainfo" reports the "full" lenght; "audacious" shows the "wrong" lenght, but keeps playing beyond that. OTOH, "audacity" loads only the reported lenght (actually truncating the file). Hope it helps. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (600, 'stable'), (500, 'stable-updates') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.5.0-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages sox depends on: ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u4 ii libgomp1 4.9.2-10 ii libsox-fmt-alsa 14.4.1-5 ii libsox-fmt-ao 14.4.1-5 ii libsox-fmt-base 14.4.1-5 ii libsox-fmt-oss 14.4.1-5 ii libsox-fmt-pulse 14.4.1-5 ii libsox2 14.4.1-5 sox recommends no packages.
