Hi Eerste, is the new package in Sid (and shortly in Stretch) installable into a Jessie environment? It should work, since the dependency on python-wxgtk3.0 can be resolved in Jessie.
If it is impossible, I should issue a package to jessie-backports, it may be available in a few weeks. Best regards, Georges.
