thanks for fdpowermon, it's really a nice tool. I think I'm witnessing another case of #676213, but I'm opening a new report because it's not related to running without battery: Sometimes (maybe half of the time), when the notebook comes back from hibernating, the icon is just black. The system was on power before and after when it happens, and unplugging power for 2s makes the icon come back. Just after waking up, icon blank: $ acpi -bi Battery 0: Full, 100% Battery 0: design capacity 4532 mAh, last full capacity 2525 mAh = 55% Unplugging, 100% icon appears: $ acpi -bi Battery 0: Discharging, 99%, 04:17:12 remaining Battery 0: design capacity 4589 mAh, last full capacity 2556 mAh = 55% Plugging in again, "on AC power" icon appears: $ acpi -bi Battery 0: Unknown, 99% Battery 0: design capacity 4541 mAh, last full capacity 2530 mAh = 55% Christoph
