Please note that prefs are converted to be stored in
~/.gconf/%gconf-tree.xml from the previous
~/.gconf/{apps,desktop,system}/ hierarchy. You can safely ignore (and
even remove) the files below ~/.gconf/{apps,desktop,system}/.
