Package: postgresql-8.1
Version: 8.1.0-3
Severity: normal

When locale is set to de_DE, every exception in plpgsql seems to lead to
an invalid-UTF-8-detected error. Presumably, this is because some
exception message includes non-ASCII and something confuses encodings.

Switching lc_messages to C works around the problem.
