Package: libexpat1-dev Version: 2.1.0-6+deb8u1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? I upgraded libexpat1 via aptitude and tried to install libexpat1-dev. libexpat1-dev depends on =2.1.0-6+deb8u1 but libexapt1 latest version from jessie-security is deb8u2. This leads to a dependency conflict during installation of libexpat1. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I downgraded libexpat1 to deb8u1. aptitude suggested this. * What was the outcome of this action? aptitude was able to install libexpat1-dev. * What outcome did you expect instead? libexapt1-dev should work with the latest version of libexpat1. Let me know if I can do more to help.
